Faster-Than-Light Transport Research
Research & Development efforts to explore the possibility of FTL travel by manipulating spacetime.
Humanity must expand outwards into space, and we currently lack the technology to immediately become an interstellar, and ultimately an intergalactic species. Because of this, we must start with colonizing our solar system, with one of the primary targets being Mars. Mars is one of the closest matches to Earth in our solar system. Its gravity is not too far off from Earth’s, its days are equal to roughly 24 hours (or 1 Earth day), it has polar ice caps like Earth, as well as many other features similar to Earth’s, such as its mountains and canyons.
The terraforming of Mars has always been a hot topic. However, our initial goal in regards to Mars is simply to establish autonomous, self-sustaining cities there. While small, boring habitats on Mars may be our starting point, we aim to move beyond this. We want to develop cities that are so modern, prosperous, and exciting, that they’d be quite comparable to Earth cities.
Terraforming Mars may become feasible at a later date. However, the reason it is not a priority right now is because the longer we wait to expand beyond Earth, the greater the risk that humanity becomes crippled by some catastrophe, whether it be natural disaster (asteroid impact, extreme pollution, etc), a nuclear disaster, etc. Terraforming is a lengthy process with no current guarantee of effectiveness due to technological limitations and limited realistic approaches.
We aim on using conventional spacecraft technologies (combustion engines w/ bell nozzles, ion thrusters, etc) to transport humans and cargo to Mars for the eventual establishment of large, prosperous cities across the surface.
Expanding into Deep Space
For our species’ long-term survival and prosperity, we must expand into deep space and beyond. The sun will be gone in a few hundred million years, but the universe will not.
Expansion into the greatest depths of the universe requires FTL technology.
Working to make interstellar travel a reality
Warp drive technology, if proven possible in practice, allows for the fastest method of interstellar, and eventually intergalactic transportation, for humans, cargo, and more.
We are currently in the planning stages for our R&D efforts.
